Facility
We are proud to provide a state-of-the-art facility for the highest quality dental care available. It is one of our top priorities to protect the well-being of our valued patients. For this reason, our office meets and surpasses all OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and CDC (Center for Disease Control) standards. We are confident that you will feel right at home in our office as we welcome all patients as if they were family.
Our Office is located at 1414 S. Big Bend Blvd, approximately 2 blocks south of Highway 40 between Manchester and Dale Ave in Richmond Heights. Please park along the fence and not in between the buildings or in front of the garage. As traffic seems to be ever increasing, please allow enough time to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment.
Coming East on Highway 40 ... Exit either the Hanley Rd South or the Bellevue exit. If using the Hanley Rd South exit, stay in the left lane to head south on Hanley Rd and be prepared to take an immediate left onto Dale Ave. Continue on Dale to Big Bend Blvd. Take a right at Big Bend and left into the lot. If using Bellevue, make a right on Bellevue, another right on Dale Ave, left at Big Bend and left into the parking lot.
Coming east on Highway 44 ... Exit at the Laclede Station Rd exit. Go left (north) off the ramp onto Laclede Station Rd and go to Big Bend Blvd. Make a right on Big Bend Blvd and proceed north on Big Bend Blvd past Manchester Ave toward Clayton Rd. The office will be on your right. If you go over the overpass at Highway 40, you have gone too far.
Coming West on Highway 40 ... Use the Big Bend Blvd exit heading south. The ramp will loop around. Go back over the overpass through the light at Dale Ave and make a left into the parking lot.
Office Hours
The office is closed on Saturday, Sunday and all major Holidays. It is also closed when we are away attending continuing education programs to increase our skills and maintain knowledge of the latest developments to better serve you. The answering machine will always be available to take messages when the office is closed.
Appointments
Our patients on an
appointment basis
and we request that you call in advance so that we can reserve a time for you. We spend a great deal of time in customizing each appointment for every patient Please keep in mind that evenings are the most requested appointment times and it is best to call as soon as possible. If you cannot keep your appointment, please notify us at once. We ask that you please give us 48 hours notice; this makes it possible to give your appointment time to another patient who desires the doctor. Any missed appointment without the 48 hour notice will be assessed a $45.00 fee.
We make every effort to honor all time commitments and require you extend the same courtesy to us.
Fees and Payments
We make every effort to keep down the cost of your dental care while providing the highest quality materials and staff available. We fancy ourselves a very conservative, very practical office and we are not a sales driven practicing trying to coerce you into procedures or ancillary products you do not need. We do require that fees be paid at the time of service unless prior payment arrangements are made.. If your treatment program requires several visits, you will be given an estimate and asked to discuss definite financial arrangements with a member of our staff. Unless the treatment rendered is over $1,500.00 we ask that payment is at the time of the appointment to offset the costs of oth patient billing and insurance administration. For extensive treatment over $1,500.00, we do arrange interest free payment plans based on the length of treatment and costs involved after a pre-estimate and insurance pre-authorization have been completed. Please remember that insurance is a method of reimbursing the patient for fees paid to the doctor and is not a substitute for payment.
Insurance
Please notify someone in the office when you are covered by an insurance program. We will be happy to fill out and file any claim forms once you have completed the necessary information (Subscriber, ID Number or Social Security Number, Date of Birth, Patient Name, and Patient Date of Birth). Please remember that no insurance company attempts to cover all dental costs. Some companies pay fixed allowances for certain procedures and others pay a percentage of the charge. It is your responsibility to pay any deductible, co-insurance and any other balance not paid for by your insurance company. By paying your portion at the time of your appointment this will minimize billing costs and control our fees. Paying your portion on time also assures the offices ability to continue participation as a provider in the program.

Dr. Freund is a preferred dental provider for the following dental plans:

Being a preferred provider office means the office accepts a set fee as set by the insurance carrier for a given procedure which includes a percentage payment from the patient. Often these fees are substantially lower than regular fees. We do not accept other insurance carriers, however their payments go toward the fees set by our office, often leaving the patient with a slightly higher portion. Our staff does any exemplary job of verifying, coordinating and tracking benefits as a courtesy to our patients; however, we are not responsible for payments from the insurance carrier. As a courtesy we file claim electronically for patients, given the correct and accurate information provided. It is the patients responsibility to follow through to see their account is paid in a timely fashion. We do not accept any dental HMO's at this time. If you are on or signed up on a roster we cannot accept this type of insurance.
